A Must-See Family Variety Show
If you’ve ever been to Pigeon Forge or Branson, or caught a show on a popular cruise line, you know how entertaining professional productions can be. But now you don’t have to book an expensive flight, hotel, or cruise to enjoy the same quality performances that thrill audiences in America’s top entertainment cities. They’re right here in Ohio.
The Amish Country Theater continued to be a huge hit in 2016 with thousands in attendance and hundreds of tour groups experiencing the show. The producers have announced that two brand new shows. These shows will feature live bluegrass music, ventriloquists, hilarious actors, and comedians that put on a show that rivals any professional production you’ll see between New York and Branson.
About The Shows
Hold on to your seat and get ready for some explosive laughter! The Amish Country Theater is an award-winning theater production in the heart of Ohio’s Amish Country. Enjoy a hilarious family-friendly variety show performed in a 325-seat auditorium with state of the art lighting, video, and sound. You’ll meet nationally acclaimed Ventriloquist Ken Groves, whose comedy has taken him all around the world including 14 national television appearances. You’ll laugh with comedian Lynyrd, a spotlight stealin’ country bumpkin, who’s as unpredictable than an Ohio spring. And don’t forget the famous Amish comedy trio “The Beachy’s” and Fannie Mae, who’s parody songs and jokes about farm living will keep you laughing the whole way home.
The producers have announced two brand new shows named “Macho Mule” & “Show Me The Funny”.
All of this laughter and fun is packed into a 2-hour comedy adventure for the entire family! These shows are enjoyed by all ages. From parents, to grandparents, to grandkids, there is something for everyone at the Amish Country Theater!
Did someone say musicians?
The Amish Country Theater Band
Although most families can’t agree on which radio station to listen to in the car, every generation gets its toes tappin’ to the finger-pickin’, three-part harmonies of the renowned house band of the Amish Country Theater. Featured in both shows, the band continually impresses audiences with a performance that could easily stand alone as its own bluegrass concert. Songs like “Pistol Packin’ Mamma,” “Gloom, Despair” and “Rocky Top” will have you whistling in the car on your drive home.
New Theater & Hotel Plans
Plans for a brand-new Amish Country Theater building have been announced and will open in time for the 2018 season. The new theater will feature 600-seats with a sloped floor, balcony seating, and state of the art lighting, video, and audio production. The theater will be connected to a new 81-room hotel named the Berlin Encore Hotel & Suites. Also, connecting to the property will be a 600-seat wedding and event center. Patrons will be able to enjoy greatly discounted package deals with theater tickets and overnight lodging, all under the same roof. Visit www.AmishCountryTheater.com/expansion for more information.
