Is there anything better than shopping, eating, and saving money all in one? For locals and visitors to Maysville Days June 20-23, that is just what will be happening.

Food, including free popcorn and free snacks handed out at the Maysville Country Market, traditional veal burgers, and homemade ice cream to cool down during the warm weather, will be available. The annual chicken barbecue will also be held on Saturday, June 23, at the GreenValley School, starting at 10 a.m. The chicken barbecue proceeds will benefit the school.
While the food is always a popular draw to the busy weekend, the biggest event of Maysville Days is the sales offered by local merchants.

“Businesses in Maysville get together to offer the Maysville Days as a way to show customer appreciation and to show people what businesses offer and how shopping locally can benefit them,” said Aden Yoder, owner of the Maysville Harness Shop.

A new item at this year’s event will be the trap shoot. Locals, shoppers, and visitors can go to the location (which hasn’t been decided yet, but will be in town) and enter for the trap shoot. The shoot has no requirements and is open to anyone.

Each store or business will offer special sales and discounts throughout Maysville Days. Just a sampling of some of the deals the businesses will have include Maysville Harness Shop, which is offering a chance to win prizes and save big bucks.

Maysville Country Market is planning to offer sales on deli meats and cheeses during the customer appreciation event. The market will be offering a variety of objects for sale, including bulk foods, canned goods, and much more. Along with these merchants, Maysville Enterprise, Schlabach Furniture, which will be hosting a 10 percent off deal on all sofas and chairs, and other local shops will be offering great deals during the weekend.

Visiting each store is a must; great deals, good food, and saving money are the key to the weekend. While the entire weekend offers great bargains and good deals, there are a few special happenings on Saturday, June 23. The community garage sales will take place on Saturday. Many people of Maysville are opening their doors to bargain shoppers beginning in the early hours of the morning.

Shopping the Maysville businesses during the weekend of bargains and food makes for a great way to support all of the merchants that work so hard all year long and go the extra mile to make sure their customers have what they need all year long.

Shoppers, be prepared to once again check out all of the great deals at Maysville Days June 20-23. Hours vary per business, with most open from 8 a.m. to 4 or 5 p.m., and don’t forget to check out the local yard sales as a bonus on Saturday. Find the best deals and support the local merchants of Maysville. The food, the people, and the bargains are a must for every shopper.
