Now that summer is in full swing, tourist season is buzzing here in Amish Country and at Wendell August Forge. So many friendly faces from all across our country are stopping in to say hello and see what we are all about.I love this time of year. Vacationers are always in happy, carefree moods, and they make our jobs so much fun. Folks I haven't seen since last year are also stopping back to see what's new at the forge. And we have plenty to show them!Our product designers have been busy this year.

With 10 new design series available this summer and fall, we have more new products than ever before. I get so excited every week as the new items come in. Amazing detail and new concepts showcase the ingenuity of our craftspeople. I love working for a company that still believes in handmade, quality products.Our community spirit is also in full swing. 

Most of the local hotels, inns and B&B's have partnered with us to offer a free souvenir gift just for spending the night with them and visiting Wendell August Forge. We hope you can extend your stay overnight so you have time to visit all of the wonderful shops in the area! Check with the front desk staff for more information.Well... I am off to bake some chocolate chip cookies. (Did I mention we offer guests a warm fresh cookie too?) The smell of cookies baking always reminds me of my mom and growing up here in Amish Country. Good memories.
