Family owned businesses such as Millers’ Dry Goods charm shoppers and visitors into coming back again and again. Starting as a quilt shop back in 1965 in the Miller family’s kitchen, the retail store has grown a bit over the years. It now fills two buildings and offers over 8,000 bolts of fabric, sewing notions and patterns.
Of course, the quality, handmade quilts continue to be a staple at Miller’s Dry Goods. Quilts are on display and for sale in a variety of sizes, patterns and colors. There are also large selections of quilted pillows, wall hangings and potholders.
Those stopping in need to plan to stay awhile and take the time to enjoy looking through hundreds of quilt books and patterns or browse through the many stitching items such as quilt blocks, pillowcases and crib quilts. So many shoppers find their visit to Miller’s Dry Goods inspires them to buy or design a family heirloom or keepsake.
Miller’s Dry Goods, located in the heart of Amish Country, is still family owned today. The business started with its first customer buying one spool of thread. Over 47 years later, the store sells a mix of traditional calico and the latest fashion prints to thousands of customers a year.
In addition to fabric and the many accessories, you’ll find clothing, gift items, calendars, yo-yo makers and flower makers amongst the wide selection of items throughout the store. Family owned, customer centered, and a wide selection of quality merchandise makes it easy for any shopper to Miller’s Dry Goods part of their shopping tradition.
