Although Chestnut Ridge Sewing opened in 1985, Dawn Krier purchased the thriving business in 2015 to continue to offer customers the quality products and service they’d come to expect.
Bernina is the line highlighted here, and every new purchase comes with two years of service and a free class. Other makes and models are available, along with sewing cabinets and notions.
The service department is headed by Mike Miller, who, with over 25 years of experience and a Bernina certification, is the go-to guy for everything sewing machine service and repair.
When Krier and her staff aren’t educating customers on the different features of the latest and greatest Bernina models, they can be found teaching in the store’s 2,500-square-foot classroom. They offer everything from purse and wallet making classes to using a new machine for more complex projects, as well as the art of embroidery.
The store hosts an annual truckload sale each July.
