Under the blazing Egyptian sun within the shadow of the pyramids, the enslaved Jewish people cry out for a deliverer. One man, Moses, challenges Pharaoh and leads the people to freedom - a vivid prophetic picture pointing to the Easter story of what Jesus Christ did on Calvary.

Ballet Magnificat!, an arts organization dedicated to presenting the good news of Jesus Christ to the whole world and headquartered in Jackson, MS, was founded in 1986. Magnificat is Latin for "to magnify Him". It is derived from "Mary's Song" of praise in the 1st Chapter of the Gospel of Luke when she first learned she was to be the mother of the Messiah. Our two professional touring companies (Alpha and Omega) have performed nationally and internationally, ministering to audiences in the United States as well as over 35 countries around the world.

Ballet Magnificat! School of the Arts was established in 1989. The school offers classes to local students throughout the school year, plus a summer Kids’ Camp and Junior Dance Intensive. The Summer Dance Intensive and Teacher’s Workshop, which attracts dancers and teachers both nationally and internationally, was first held that same year. Our Trainee Program started in 1996, consists of two levels and prepares dancers for our professional companies as well as other ministries and dance opportunities. Our staff and teachers foster growth in the technical and spiritual training of the dancers of all ages through specialized class instruction and workshops.

In 2017, Ballet Magnificat! Brasil was begun in Curitiba, Brazil, beginning with a Trainee Program and adding a performance company in 2018. Our fledgling company is sharing the Gospel throughout Brazil!
