Poor Man's Steak
An old fashioned hamburger steak recipe. Serve with some warm mashed potatoes and your favorite vegetable.

Poor Man's Steak
Ingredients
2 pounds hamburger
2 cups cracker crumbs
2 cups milk
1 small onion, chopped or 1⁄3 cup sweet onion, finely chopped with ½ cup green onions
⅛ tsp cayenne (or a dash)
1 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
1 can mushroom soup diluted with 1 can water and ¼ c. milk
2 tbsp parsley, chopped

Instructions

Mix and hamburger ingredients together and form into 7 oz. ovals, squares or rectangles.

Coat with flour on each side and fry until golden brown.

Put each patty into lightly greased 13x9 and pour soup mixture over the top of the meat.

Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees.

Turn the top patties after they have been in the oven for 30 minutes.
