Troyer Country Market

With samples to be enjoyed, Troyer Country Market covers customer's needs from domestic and imported cheeses, to specialty and deli meats. Home of the Troyer Cheese Company and Amish Wedding Foods, recipes have been passed down from generations.

From humble beginnings to a magnificent array of locally produced meats, cheeses, jams, jellies, in-season fresh produce and of course freshly made ice cream, Troyer Country Market is the place to shop for a taste of Holmes County and Amish foods.

Jonas Troyer started the Troyer Cheese Company in 1961. He delivered local meat and cheese for producers in the area. As his business grew, he continually realized new markets. Troyer added a cannery business to produce an array of items including canned peaches, pears, pickled beets, bread-and-butter pickles and the luscious jams, jellies and apple butter.

Troyer Country Market combines timeless family recipes with premium ingredients to make flavorful morsels such as Troyer’s Beef Jerky. It’s unforgettable. The jerky is handmade from an old-fashioned recipe making it truly one of a kind.

Troyer’s continued to grow and developed an exclusive line of Amish Wedding Foods in 2002. Troyer Country Market sells all the foods traditionally found on the table at Amish weddings including fruit butters such as peach, cheery or plum butter and vegetables such as jarred sweet and sour corn, asparagus and sauerkraut.

At the heart of it all are the fresh meats and a large variety of cheeses. American, Butter, Colby, Hickory Smoked, Hot Pepper, Yogurt, and Italian cheeses are just the beginning of the delectable offerings. Top off the grocery list with Troyer’s own brand of fudge, licorice twists or caramel puff corn.

Troyer Country Market is easy to find with its bright red roof and a front porch stacked full of seasonal fruits and vegetables.
